Hospital legislation
Hospital legislation includes legal advice to hospitals under public and church sponsorship and private hospitals as well as hospital directors, chief physicians and subordinate physicians in all aspects of hospital operations. It ranges from hospital planning to hospital financing and the remuneration of hospital services, from labour law issues to outsourcing and the conclusion of supply contracts and cooperation agreements, from outpatient clinics to the authorisation of hospital doctors and outpatient operations. It includes the establishment of and participation in medical care centres, the conclusion of integrated care contracts as well as cooperation with community-based doctors and their integration into hospital operations. In particular, it also includes the legal relationships between hospitals and patients with regard to admission to hospital and the billing of services provided there.
