Dr Birte Meister LL.M.

Dr Birte Meister is a specialist lawyer for insolvency and restructuring law and has herself been appointed as an insolvency administrator or trustee of companies for 10 years. In her role as insolvency administrator or trustee, she assists companies of various sizes and from different sectors with a wide variety of products or services with the aim of securing their continued existence, preserving jobs and making the companies economically competitive again. She also specialises in advising companies that have got into financial difficulties. She is an expert in self-administration and insolvency proceedings, insolvency plans and preventive restructuring (StaRUG). She also supports companies in the defence of insolvency avoidance claims, the enforcement of rights to separation and segregation or the acquisition out of insolvency. With a Master’s degree in International Business Law, she is also a competent contact for legal issues relating to cross-border insolvency law matters. The promotion of young lawyers is particularly close to her heart. To this end, Dr Meister is a member of the board of the Streitbörger Foundation.
